Regular Season Round 21: TLU/Kalev - TTU 63-76

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: TTU (#7) and TLU/Kalev (#5). TLU/Kalev was defeated at home 63-76 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. TLU/Kalev was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. TTU dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to TLU/Kalev's 26. They outrebounded TLU/Kalev 44-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Power forward Matthias Tass (208-99) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Giese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four TTU players scored in double figures. Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (205-93) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Kristo Saage (186-85) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for TLU/Kalev. TTU maintains seventh place with 6-18 record. TLU/Kalev lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 15 games lost. TTU's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tallinn to the arena Kalev/Cramo.
