Semi-Finals Game 2: HyPo - Catz 87-52

Date: April 3, 2018
HyPo marched past Catz to even the series at 1-1. The game without a history. HyPo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Catz Lappeenranta's players. The former international swingman Henna Salomaa (177-89, college: Oakland) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four HyPo players scored in double figures. American forward Aleighsa Welch (183-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
