Regular Season Round 26: KTE-Duna - Kormend 93-77

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (18-8) against fifth ranked KTE-Duna (15-10) on Wednesday night. Visiting Kormend was defeated by KTE-Duna in Kecskemet 93-77. The game was mostly controlled by KTE-Duna. Kormend was better in fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KTE-Duna dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kormend's 24. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. International center Kemal Karahodzic (210-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four KTE-Duna players scored in double figures. Point guard Akos Halasz (183-91, agency: HMS) replied with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Tibor Ban (185-95, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points in the effort for Kormend. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KTE-Duna maintains fifth position with 15-10 record. Kormend at the other side dropped to the third place with eight games lost.
