Second Stage Round 6: Tsmoki-Minsk - Impuls BGUIR 92-67

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tsmoki-Minsk smashed 5th ranked Impuls BGUIR at home 92-67. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 24 Impuls BGUIR turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Maksim Liutych (200-97) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). International forward Viktor Ovsepyan (203-91) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Yuriy Ignatev (202-91) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and Genadziy Zahar (200-92) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki-Minsk have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Impuls BGUIR at the other side keeps the fifth place with 20 games lost. Impuls BGUIR will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Tsmoki-Minsk will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked COR-Borisfen in Mogilev.
