Semi-Finals Game 3: Catz - HyPo 80-65

Catz rallied past HyPo to take 2-1 lead. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Catz Lappeenranta's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-10 extending their advantage to 15 points. Catz Lappeenranta had a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Aleighsa Welch (183-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Valencia McFarland (163-91, college: Mississippi) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Saara Wahlgren (174-92) came up with 10 points and 5 assists and the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) added 14 points respectively for HyPo in the defeat. Five Catz Lappeenranta and four HyPo players scored in double figures. HyPo's coach Miikka Sopanen rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
