Fubon Braves toppled Yulon Luxgen in Game 1 of the series. Fubon Braves outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 53-38 including a 43-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Yulon Luxgen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and international Po-Chen Chou (196-90) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
