We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventeenth ranked Boulazac Basket (8-18) beat on the road 16th ranked Cholet Basket (10-17) 87-79. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-17. But Cholet Basket won second period 27-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boulazac Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Cholet Basket's 30. Boulazac Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American power forward Yancy Gates (206-89, college: Cincinnati) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and center Jerry Boutsiele (207-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Cholet Basket in the defeat. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket maintains seventeenth place with 8-18 record. Cholet Basket lost sixth consecutive game.
