Regular Season Round 27: Blois - Vichy Clermont 74-64

ProB top team - ADA Blois (22-5) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked JA Vichy (13-14) 74-64. The hosts were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 21-6 run, which allowed them to win the game. ADA Blois dominated on the defensive end, holding JA Vichy to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) accounted for 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. David Denave (193-85) came up with 13 points and power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for JA Vichy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for ADA Blois. They maintain first place with 22-5 record. JA Vichy at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Rouen. ADA Blois will play against Quimper UJAP (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JA Vichy will play against SPO Rouen (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
