IR stunned Tindastoll on the road to bounce back from the starting loss. It looked good early as Tindastoll took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then IR took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. IR shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Tindastoll was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Danero Thomas (200-86, college: Murray St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. International point guard Matthias Sigurdarson (183-94, college: Columbus St.) contributed with 27 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four IR players scored in double figures. International guard Petur Birgisson (185-96) replied with 28 points and 4 assists and international point guard Sigtryggur-Arnar Bjornsson (180-93) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tindastoll. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
