Second Stage Round 16: Burevestnik - Dyn-Magn.ChL 93-97

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Burevestnik (24-4) in Yaroslav on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Dyn-Magn.ChL (22-8) 97-93. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Burevestnik. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Dyn-Magn.ChL dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Burevestnik's 34. 28 personal fouls committed by Burevestnik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Aleksey Osokin (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Nikita Ivanov (205-91, agency: Alti Sport) who added 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Dyn-Magn.ChL players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Anton Ageev (191-84) responded with 26 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Alexander Stulenkov (205-92, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Burevestnik's coach Mikhail Terekhov tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dyn-Magn.ChL maintains first position with 22-8 record which they share with defeated Burevestnik. Burevestnik at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Dyn-Magn.ChL are looking forward to face Tambov (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Burevestnik will play against the league's second-placed Uralmash and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
