Semi-Finals Game 4: PeKa - Honka 61-68

Honka upset PeKa on the road to stay alive in the series. It looked good early as Peli-Karhut took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tapiolan Honka had a 20-12 second period charge getting the lead and Peli-Karhut was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-68. Tapiolan Honka dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Peli-Karhut's 26. Strangely Peli-Karhut outrebounded Tapiolan Honka 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international swingman Heta Korpivaara (185-84, college: Seton Hall) who scored that evening 26 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Kiana Johnson (171-93, college: Virginia Union) supported her with 19 points and 6 assists (made all of her seven free throws). Even a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds by American forward Akilah Sims (178-94, college: IUPUI, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Peli-Karhut. Her fellow American import forward Megan Mullings (185-92, college: Alaska-Anch., agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for lost side.
