Catz prevailed against HyPo to reach Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Catz Lappeenranta. HyPo managed to win third quarter 23-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding HyPo to just 4 points in second quarter. American forward Aleighsa Welch (183-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) chipped in 21 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) responded with 9 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Jazmine Perkins (178-89, college: Washington St.) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. HyPo's coach Miikka Sopanen rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
