Regular Season Round 6: Bameso - San Lazaro 83-86

This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Bameso (1-6) to second ranked San Lazaro (5-2) 86-83 on Friday evening. Guard Miguel Dicent (190-94, college: Morehead St., agency: Basket Management Solutions) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU, agency: Dutt Sports Services) chipped in 11 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Michael Mendoza with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jack-Michael Martinez (201-81) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five San Lazaro and four Bameso players scored in double figures. Bameso's coach Freddy Sanchez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Lazaro keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with Rafael Barias. Bameso lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost. San Lazaro is looking forward to face league's leader Mauricio Baez in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bameso will play against the league's second-placed El Million and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
