Rather predictable result when tenth ranked NPC Rieti (14-15) defeated at home 14th ranked Eurobasket Roma (12-17) 74-61 on Sunday. They outrebounded Eurobasket Roma 47-26 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Eurobasket Roma was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Nigerian guard Zaid Hearst (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and Jamaican-British forward Ryan Martin (206-91, college: Tenn Tech) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds.
