The most exciting game of round 14 in the LMBPF took place in Guanajuato. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Gamos (10-4) to third ranked Mieleras (11-3) 78-76 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gamos. It was a key game for the second position in the league. 25 personal fouls committed by Gamos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Martha Castillo who scored 8 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. American Christian Levern chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Hazel Ramirez (165-92, college: Loyola Mary) produced 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international Vanessa Dominguez added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Gamos players scored in double figures. Mieleras have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Gamos at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Aztks.
