GKS Tychy overcame R8 Krakow to earn the first win in the series. GKS Tychy shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Marcin Kowalewski (200-86, agency: Promotex) notched 23 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds by Patryk Pelka (202-89) did not help to save the game for R8 Krakow. Naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo.) added 22 points for the hosts. Five GKS Tychy and four R8 Krakow players scored in double figures.
