Regular Season Round 6: Knox R. - McKinnon C. 95-89

Round 6 in State League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Wantirna South where host Knox Raiders (3-2) beat league's leader McKinnon C. (4-2) 95-89 on Sunday evening. 24 personal fouls committed by McKinnon C. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Taylor Dyson (193-93, college: Hartford) who scored 29 points. Forward Dylan Hare (193-93) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dillon Stith (200-92, college: St.Vincent) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Adrian Tomada added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. McKinnon C.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Knox Raiders moved-up to fourth place in League. McKinnon C. at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Joondalup Wolves. McKinnon C. will play next round against Eltham Wildcats trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Knox Raiders will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Ringwood Hawks in Heathmont.
