Regular Season Round 7: Navolato - Guaymas 89-84

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (4-3) against sixth ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (4-2) on Tuesday night. Visiting Ostioneros de Guaymas were defeated by Garra Canera de Navolato in a tough game in Navolato 84-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ostioneros de Guaymas. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) accounted for 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach Andres Contreras allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Allen West (206-91, college: Nevada) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Daniel Giron (192-89) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Ostioneros de Guaymas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato moved-up to fourth place. Ostioneros de Guaymas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Guasave. Garra Canera de Navolato will again play against Ostioneros de Guaymas (#6) at home in the next round. Ostioneros de Guaymas will have a break next round.
