Union SF secured the next round berth as they topped Villa San Martin. Union SF players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Andres Mariani (188-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists. Point guard Gaston Torres (184-85) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Martin Cabrera (181-96) came up with 25 points and 6 assists and the former international swingman Mariano Ceruti (194-79) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Villa San Martin in the defeat. Five Union SF and four Villa San Martin players scored in double figures.
