Pauian upset Fubon Braves in the championship series opener. Pauian had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pauian made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Point guard Chen Jian-En (181-88, college: Biola, CA) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and the former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Fubon Braves. Five Pauian and four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
