Venezia toppled Ragusa in the opener. Venezia made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Venezia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American point guard Riquna Williams (170-90, college: Miami, FL, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Valeria De-Pretto (185-91, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points. At the losing side American forward Dearica Hamby (190-93, college: Wake Forest, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour (198-94, agency: ProDep Management) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures.
