Regular Season Round 31: Almeria - Jaguarzo Adepla 83-82

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Almeria (16-9) edged at home bottom-ranked Jaguarzo Adepla (9-17) 83-82 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Almeria forced 21 Jaguarzo Adepla turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Jesus Castro (191-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Luis Rueda (186-96) helped adding 11 points and 5 assists. Almeria's coach Raul Fernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Serbian center Dusan Kostic (205-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and American forward David Atkinson (203-91, college: Salem Intern.) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Almeria maintains sixth place in Group D-Clasif with 16-9 record. Jaguarzo Adepla lost their eighth game in a row. Jaguarzo Adepla at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Almeria will face Huelva (#8) on the road in the next round. Jaguarzo Adepla will play against CAM E.Soler in Melilla and hope to win that game.
