No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Energy Invest (20-11) crushed 7th ranked Mgzavrebi (13-18) in Rustavi 117-97 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Energy Invest. Mgzavrebi managed to win fourth quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Mgzavrebi 49-37 including 18 on the offensive glass. Energy Invest looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Mgzavrebi's players. It was an exceptional evening for international point guard Revazi Chachanidze (183-90) who led the winners and scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Adam Blazek (185-92, college: Gannon) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Energy Invest's coach Mikheil Beruashvili used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Taylor Stafford (185-94, college: W.Washington) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Mgzavrebi in the defeat. Five Mgzavrebi players scored in double figures. Energy Invest moved-up to third place, which they share with Dinamo Tbilisi. Mgzavrebi lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 18 games lost. Energy Invest will meet at home Olimpi (#6) in the next round. Mgzavrebi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.
