Regular Season Round 32: Marin - Coruna II 81-65

Very expected game when 13th ranked Coruna II (10-20) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Marin (30-0) 81-65 on Saturday. Marin dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Coruna II's 34. They outrebounded Coruna II 41-24 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Marin looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Desmond Simmons (198-92, college: St.Mary's, CA) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Jose Oubina (187-90) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Marin's coach Javier Llorente used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ruben Rey (198-93) produced 15 points and forward Larry Abia (195-93) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Marin have an impressive 30-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-B with 30-0 record. Coruna II lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 20 games lost.
