Very expected game in L´Hospitalet where 10th ranked Barbera (9-16) was defeated by fourth ranked AEC Collblanc (17-7) 86-74 on Saturday. Strangely Barbera outrebounded AEC Collblanc 32-19 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Edson Avila (206-92, college: Georgetown, KY) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Marc Pages (178-95) chipped in 18 points. Avila is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Power forward David Martinez (203-96) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and forward Marc Sobrepera (201-86) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AEC Collblanc have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group C-A. Loser Barbera stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
