Tsmoki-Minsk defeated Gomel-Sozh to grab the lead in the series. The game without a history. Tsmoki-Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tsmoki-Minsk outrebounded Gomel-Sozh 42-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. American center Kai James (198-95, college: Florida St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Ala Murauskaya (187-85) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists. Four Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Guard Marina Rakovskaia (173-92) came up with 16 points and forward Yulya Haponava (185-94) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Gomel-Sozh in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
