Den Bosch outgunned Rotterdam to take 1-0 advantage. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Den Bosch forced 20 Rotterdam turnovers and had a 38-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Den Bosch looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Maarten Bouwknecht (185-94) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 assists. American forward Mike Miklusak (198-94, college: W.Illinois) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. American swingman Trevor Setty (203-89, college: Pikeville) answered with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Marcel Boyd (208-92, college: Howard) added 9 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Rotterdam. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
