Second Stage Round 9: Strumica - Karpos Sokoli 66-78

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Strumica's (4-27) home loss to eleventh ranked Karpos Sokoli (7-24) 66-78 on Wednesday. Karpos Sokoli forced 23 Strumica turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Andrej Anastasov (192-97) who scored 25 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Darko Basovski chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Stefan Caric (-97) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Petre Cvetkov (190-84) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Strumica's coach Vasko Atanasov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Karpos Sokoli maintains eleventh place in Liga with 7-24 record. Loser Strumica stay dead last with 27 lost games. Karpos Sokoli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Shkupi.
