Sokol Pisek cruised past Zlin in Game 1. Sokol Pisek dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to SKB Zlin's 34. They outrebounded SKB Zlin 43-27 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sokol Pisek looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by SKB Zlin's players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Pavel Englicky (210-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Center Vojtech Novak (203-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Sokol Pisek players scored in double figures. Sokol Pisek's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. David Nehoda (193-91) answered with 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and guard Jan Krutilek (189-95) added 20 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for SKB Zlin.
