Second Stage Round 7: Szedeak - Atomeromu 82-96

The game in Szeged was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Atomeromu (16-16) played at the court of 5th ranked Szedeak (12-21). Atomeromu defeated Szedeak 96-82 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Szedeak was better in third quarter 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-24 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Szedeak was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Troy Barnies (200-89, college: Maine) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). International power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Serbian center Nenad Sulovic (202-85, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Szedeak. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu moved-up to third place in Division. Loser Szedeak keeps the fifth position with 21 games lost. Atomeromu will face league's leader PVSK-Veolia in Pecs in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
