Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Tenerife Naut. (15-15) won against bottom-ranked Gran Canaria II (12-20) in Las Palmas 87-74 on Saturday. Tenerife Naut. outrebounded Gran Canaria II 55-37 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Danish center Sami Eleraky (213-93, college: Pacific) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Samuel Rodriguez (200-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Tenerife Naut. players scored in double figures. Lazaro Gonzalez answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and guard Saulo Roman (186-98) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Gran Canaria II. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tenerife Naut. moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes B.
