Semi-Finals Game 3: Gomel-Sozh - Tsmoki-Minsk 45-55

Tsmoki-Minsk upset Gomel-Sozh on the road to sweep the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. Gomel-Sozh was better in second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Gomel-Sozh 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American center Kai James (198-95, college: Florida St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Russian Mariya Cheremisina (174-92) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Anna Hatskevich (180-92) came up with 8 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marina Rakovskaia (173-92) added 15 points respectively for Gomel-Sozh in the defeat. Gomel-Sozh's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
