Oviedo rallied past Palencia to gain 2-0 lead. Palencia Baloncesto was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Palencia Baloncesto 37-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Point guard Fabio Santana (188-92) scored 14 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Jose-Maria Gonzalez (206-91, agency: Duran International) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Santana is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Oviedo CB players scored in double figures. Guard Jordi Grimau (196-83) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and guard Andres Miso (198-83) scored 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
