Finals Game 1: Homenetmen - Al Riyadi 94-83

Homenetmen opened win count in LBL Finals. They edged Al Riyadi to take the lead in the best-of-seven series. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Jean Abdel-Nour (198-83) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Al Riyadi. Five Al Riyadi players scored in double figures.
