Semi-Finals Game 1: Groningen - Rotterdam 96-77

Groningen cruised past Rotterdam for 1-0 lead. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Rotterdam was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Groningen players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard, agency: Inception Sports) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 assists for the winners and Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84, agency: Court Side) chipped in 20 points. At the losing side American swingman Trevor Setty (203-89, college: Pikeville) responded with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Marcel Boyd (208-92, college: Howard) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Groningen and four Rotterdam players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
