MZT Skopje edged Blokotehna in the opener. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 23-16 run, which allowed them to win the game. MZT Skopje players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international swingman Marko Simonovski (192-89, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and the former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (208-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. MZT Skopje's coach Zeljko Lukajic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side international forward Stojan Gjuroski (203-91, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian power forward Danilo Mijatovic (206-83) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
