The game in San German was also quite interesting. Humacao (2-0) played at the court of Atleticos (1-2). Humacao managed to secure a 8-point victory 98-90 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 63-46 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 28 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (185-92, college: Cent.Conn.St., agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 26 points and 5 steals during the contest. American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: Massachusetts) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and Esteban Cordero (-94, college: PR-Rio Piedras) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Atleticos players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Humacao will face Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atleticos will play at home against Santeros (#8) and hope to win that game.
