Finals Game 5: Homenetmen - Al Riyadi 76-65

Homenetmen overcame Al Riyadi for 3-2 lead in the championship series. Homenetmen made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) contributed with 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Homenetmen players scored in double figures. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) answered with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Amir Saoud (186-91) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Al Riyadi.
