Kutaisi overcame Rustavi to level things up at 1-1. It looked good early as Energy Invest took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kutaisi had a 26-19 second period charge getting the lead and Energy Invest was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-90. Kutaisi dominated on the defensive end, holding Energy Invest to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Energy Invest 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Kutaisi players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international Akaki Dvalishvili (207-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. American point guard Adam Blazek (185-92, college: Gannon) replied with 17 points and his fellow American import forward Tyrell Nelson (201, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Energy Invest. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
