Norrkoping claimed Basketligan title. They upset BC Lulea in the decisive seventh game of the championship series to lift the trophy. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BC Lulea won third quarter 26-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Gerry Blakes (193-93, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: N.Arizona) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
