Regular Season Round 34: Fos-Provence - Blois 70-63

Top ranked ADA Blois (27-7) recorded its seventh loss in Fos-sur-Mer on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Provence Basket (24-10) 70-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ADA Blois. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-8. But ADA Blois won second period 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Provence Basket forced 20 ADA Blois turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Ivorian-American swingman Charles Abouo (196-89, college: BYU) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and center Thomas Hieu-Courtois (202-95) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Provence Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 24-10 record. ADA Blois at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost.
