Regular Season Round 11: Nunawading S. - Hobart C. 97-93

There was a change at the State League leadership position after last games. Round 11 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Chargers (6-3). They were defeated by third ranked Spectres (7-1) 97-93 on Saturday night. Spectres dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Chargers' 44. It was a great evening for power forward Simon Conn (206-83, college: Gardner-Webb) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. C Hronopoulos helped adding 28 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Tre Nichols (180-89, college: Boise St., agency: SDJ Sports) responded with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Craig Moller (203-94, agency: MKP Management) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Chargers players scored in double figures. Spectres moved-up to second place in League. Chargers at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Mackay M.. Chargers will play next round against league's leader Ballarat Miners trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Spectres will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Kilsyth Cobras on the road.
