The game in San German was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Piratas (6-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Atleticos (2-7). Piratas managed to secure a 8-point victory 81-73. Piratas players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American guard Marcus Williams (191-85, college: Connecticut) notched 9 points and 15 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by the former international forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV, agency: Paris Global Sports) did not help to save the game for Atleticos. Guard Rasham Suarez (190-92, college: S.Mississippi) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Bayamon. Atleticos lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Piratas will play against Leones (#5) in Juana Diaz in the next round. Atleticos will play at home against the league's leader Vaqueros and hope to get back on the winning track.
