Regular Season Round 3: Gigantes - Marinos 81-69

No shocking result in a game when Gigantes (3-1) beat Marinos (0-2) in Puerto Ordaz 81-69. Gigantes made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American Quinnel Brown (198-83, college: Auburn) helped adding 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Juan Herrera (197-81) with 21 points and Edgar Martinez (190-97) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gigantes will again play against Marinos (#5) in Puerto La Cruz in the next round. Marinos will have a break next round.
