Monaco crushed Pau-Lacq-Orthez on the road to advance into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Pau-Lacq-Orthez's 34. They outrebounded Pau-Lacq-Orthez 38-23 including 17 on the offensive glass. Monaco looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) scored 14 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and international point guard Elie-Franck Okobo (188-97) scored 14 points. Five Monaco and four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures.
