We should not miss the game where eighth ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (12-17) against 4th placed Ostioneros de Guaymas (15-13) where Halcones de Ciudad Obregon won at home by seven points 99-92. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Jimmy Hall (203-94, college: Kent St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) accounted for 21 points and 7 assists. Five Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-88, college: Troy) came up with 35 points (!!!) and center Allen West (206-91, college: Nevada) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Ostioneros de Guaymas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains eighth place with 12-17 record, which they share with Mazatlan. Ostioneros de Guaymas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (#5) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
