There was an upset in Perth where higher ranked Senators (9-9) were edged by eleventh ranked Eagles (7-11) 83-81 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American guard Anthony Golden (185-89, college: NW Nazarene) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Jonathan Morse (203-91, college: Metro St.) helped adding 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Worth to mention Golden played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian-American forward Robert Anshila (199-86, college: Ft.Hays State) scored 6 points and 14 rebounds. Senators' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eagles moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Senators dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Eagles will face Slammers (#12) in Bunbury in the next round.
