Baskonia wasted the lead late in regulation but picked up the tempo in overtime and topped FC Barcelona to win the semifinal series 3-1. Baskonia made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by FC Barcelona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Georgian Tornike Shengelia (206-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Matt Janning (195-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Agency) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side French point guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Victor Claver (207-88) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
