Argentina opened win count at the tournament. They held off Chile for 1-1 record in Group B. Macros Giordano tossed in 24 points to lead the winning side. Chile used a 27:15 run in the second period to take a 5-point halftime lead. But Argentina went on a 23:12 run in the fourth period to snatch the victory. Francisco Caffaro had 20 points and 15 rebounds in the win. Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd delivered 17 points and 11 rebounds for Chile.
