Finals Game 1: Monaco - Le Mans 81-77

Monaco accounted for the opening victory in ProA Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-16. But Le Mans won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monaco forced 22 Le Mans turnovers. Strangely Le Mans outrebounded Monaco 35-19 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 assists for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) chipped in 18 points. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Chris Lofton (188-86, college: Tennessee) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American-FYR Macedonian Romeo Travis (198-84, college: Akron) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds.
